Kim Delaney was an American actress. She is most famous for her role as Detective Diane Russell, in the ABC drama series NYPD Blue. For this she received an Emmy Award. Delaney was the only daughter of an United Auto Workers executive and his wife, a household worker. She grew up within a household that included four brothers.
